As the name suggests, the golf clubhouse is the place where most of the golfer's life takes place, regardless of the golf game and training. Golf clubhouses come in different shapes and sizes, but most of them house a restaurant, the club secretary's office, the pro store and changing rooms for men and women, including sanitary facilities. Caddy boxes are often installed in parts of the golf clubhouse or in neighboring buildings. These offer golf club members the opportunity to store their golf equipment at the golf club all year round. The golf clubhouse is usually centrally located so that the practice facilities and the first, tenth and eighteenth holes can be reached quickly from there. The golf clubhouse is often referred to as the nineteenth hole. This is where all golfers come together for a convivial end to the round and for award ceremonies.
