Special golf competitions offer golfers additional forms of play during a round. The two best-known special scores are the longest drive and the nearest-the-pin competition. However, games such as Nearest- to- the- Line or Beat- the- Pro are also becoming more and more popular and are increasingly being incorporated into tournaments for amateur golfers. These are usually additional games at no extra cost to the participant. The prizes for the winners are usually sponsored by the tournament organizers.
