The Golf Hosel

Geschrieben von: Christoph Knapp | |

The golf hosel is the connecting piece between the shaft and the club head of a golf club. Due to modern club head designs, the golf hosel can be of enormous importance to a golfer and make hitting the ball much easier. The type and size of the angle is particularly important. Shots that are hit on the golf hosel are called sockets by experienced golfers. This is a shot that drifts abruptly and very strongly to the right for right-handers and to the left for left-handers. Very little distance is covered. A socket is usually extremely short and uncontrollable. Many golfers struggle with the shot hit on the golf hosel like a chronic illness. However, a good PGA golf instructor can help to eliminate the socket, as there can be various explainable reasons for this.
