Consideration for other players - golf etiquette
Respect for other players and golfers is one of the most important aspects of golf etiquette. Every golfer must always be vigilant and ensure that they do not endanger themselves or other golfers. Both on the practice facilities and on the golf course, every golfer must always show sufficient consideration for other players. For example, according to the etiquette, a golf shot must never be played if there is another player within striking range. If a golf ball unintentionally leaves the direction of play and changes direction uncontrollably, the player must shout "Fore" quickly and loudly to warn other players. However, consideration on the golf course does not only include safety aspects, but also fair play and good behavior on the course. Disturbing another player's swing by making noise or behaving incorrectly should be avoided. All the important rules of conduct regarding "consideration" for other golfers can also be found in the golf books and rule books.
