Why is it correct behavior to help your partner find the golf ball?
If a playing partner has to search for a golf ball because he has hit it into the rough, the woods or another obstacle, every player and caddie should help to find the ball. This saves time and is also part of fair play in golf. It is not about punishing your opponent, but helping them to find the golf ball. You will also be grateful if your fellow players help you find your own lost ball.
