The Golf Honor

Geschrieben von: Christoph Knapp | |

Golf honor is when a golfer is the first to tee off from the next tee. As a rule, the player with the lowest handicap tees off on the first tee of a round of golf. On the other holes, the order in which the individual players are allowed to tee off can change accordingly. The player who needed the fewest strokes on the previous hole always tees off first on the next tee. Then the second best and so on. If the score on a hole was the same for all golfers, the order of golf honor at the tee does not change. This is known as residual honor. In the scramble or in a foursome, the tee-off order in the team can be determined anew and individually at each hole. In the professionals, for example, the leader of a golf tournament is always the last to tee off in the last flight of the day. At least on the first tee, after which the golf etiquette of golfing honor also applies here.
