The golf obstacle

Geschrieben von: Christoph Knapp | |

Bunkers and standing or flowing water are referred to as golf hazards. No practice swings touching the ground are permitted in the hazard, but practice swings in the air are permitted. The club may not be placed on the ground or touch the ground in any way before the shot. If this rule is violated, a golfer will be penalized according to the official rules of golf. There are two different types of water hazards. One is the lateral water hazard, which is marked by red posts or lines. The second is the frontal water hazard, which is marked by yellow posts or lines. The posts mark the golf hazard and the lines mark the boundary of the golf hazard. A ball is always in the hazard if it lies completely in it or touches it with any part. In contrast to the golf hazard bunker, the ball can always be dropped out of a water hazard with a penalty stroke in accordance with the relevant rules. In a bunker, the ball can only be declared unplayable and the appropriate golf rule applied.
