Golf videos - the lob shot with the sand wedge

Sand Wedge Golf Video

There are situations in golf and the golf short game where the ball should only fly very high but not far or you only have one ball to hand and want to practise the lob shot in the short game without having to walk a lot. Then we recommend that you watch the following golf video carefully and then try out the following exercise yourself on the golf course or practice area. This exercise can be performed with a conventional sand wedge. If you choose a lob wedge, the ball will fly higher, if you choose a gap wedge, the ball will fly lower. You can find the right wedges for you in the large online golf store golf24.com. We are always ready for you with great wedge products, many golf special offers and of course our free product and training videos.

Golf video to copy

When copying the golf video - the lob shot with the sand wedge, please first assume a neutral, right-angled stance, as you prefer to do with your other golf shots. Then turn your club face up by approx. 45° (to the right for right-handers) and then grip the club again at a neutral angle to your stance. Now change your stance as follows: Turn your stance, including your entire setup, by approx. 45° to the left (right-hander). The lower edge of the club face now points back towards the target, but your foot, pelvis and shoulder line clearly miss the target. For right-handed golfers, this is clearly to the left of the target; for left-handed golfers, it is clearly to the right of the desired target point. Now execute your normal golf swing along these body lines, which for right-handed golfers point past the target on the left as mentioned, and you will notice that the ball flies significantly higher and shorter with the lob shot in the short game than with a "normal" golf short game. To save Titleist golf balls simply exaggerate the whole thing and catch the ball again straight away. You could even do this exercise in your own garden. But be careful: you might need good insurance for this! It is therefore better to watch a golf video in the comfort of your own home, but then move your training to a protected training area on a golf course.
