Most golfers often choose the wrong length of putter. In many years of working as a PGA golf instructor, it is very common for golfers of all abilities to play a putter that does not suit them at all, especially in terms of length. In the long history of golf, it had become established that a standard golf putter had a length of 35 inches. Whether men, women or children, a golf fitting was usually a foreign word. Most professional golfers also putted with a 35" putter for many years during their professional career. Today, even very tall players with a height of over 1.80 m and more very often play with a rather short putter with a length of 34" or even shorter.
Golf club fitting putter
How do you carry out a golf club fitting when putting independently and easily? Is this possible? We at golf-shop.de say "yes" and show you how in this golf video. Preferably wearing golf shoes, the person who wants to get fit stands on a putting green (but any other place would also be possible) and places a golf ball on the green and then stands in the usual golf address position at the ball. The right-hander's left eye should always be directly above the golf ball, the upper body should be bent forward at 45 degrees with a straight back and the knees should be slightly bent. It should be a comfortable and pain-free position in which the arms can hang down completely relaxed. In this position, place the golf putter in your hands and grip it as usual without changing the height of your hands. Then mark the upper position of the left hand with tape, for example. This tape now shows exactly how long a putter should be individually adjusted. The length can now be determined with the help of a measuring stick. Measure from the sole of the putter to the tape. At golf-shop.de, every putter can be customized to the desired dimensions. One inch corresponds to 2.54 cm. As you can see, golf club fitting is easy to do without a great deal of effort. You can then buy the right putter at golf-shop.de. The team will be happy to advise you on all questions relating to golf fitting and more.
