Firstly, we show you the so-called chip pitch and secondly, as an alternative, the so-called pitch chip. With the chip pitch golf shot, the aim is to only swing out as far as with a chip and swing through as with a pitch or half swing. With a pitch chip, the golf shot is the other way round, i.e. the golfer has to swing halfway as with a pitch and stop at the front of the golf swing as with a chip. With the chip pitch, the golf ball flies a little flatter and rolls a little further, with the pitch chip the ball goes higher and comes to rest faster on the green. Of course, both types of shot can be played with any golf club. The flight height and distance of the shot will change depending on the club you choose.
