The Champions Tour can be played by professional golfers from the age of 50. Around 30 high-paying tournaments take place every year. German golf pro Bernhard Langer has already won the Champions Tour year-end ranking in 2008 and 2009. Golf tournaments for seniors on the Champions Tour have been held since 1978. The tournament series was initially called the Senior PGA Tour, but has been known as the Champions Tour since 2002.
