The European Seniors Tour is a tournament series in Europe for senior golfers. In golf, you reach the senior age at 50 and then have the opportunity to compete in golf tournaments in Europe for seniors. The European Seniors Tour was launched in 1992. Incidentally, its US counterpart is the Champions Tour, which pays out significantly more prize money at the events. The most important tournament on the European Seniors Tour is "The Senior Open Championship". This is also included in the ranking of the American Champions Tour. The other senior majors take place in the USA and do not count as golf tournaments in Europe.
