Since 2008, the Brunei Senior Masters has been part of the European Seniors Tour's golf tournaments for seniors. The Empire Hotel & Country Club is the preferred venue for this tournament for players aged 50 and over. Golf tournaments for seniors are becoming increasingly popular, with exotic countries such as Brunei also hosting major golf tournaments. The Brunei Senior Masters is one of the few tournaments of the European Seniors Tour in Asia.
