The Portugal Ladies Open has been taking place since 2002. The venue is usually the well-known golf region in the Algarve. However, like other important golf tournaments in Portugal, the Portugal Ladies Open is also held in the capital Lisbon from time to time. Incidentally, the first tournament in 2002 was won by Kanna Takanashi from Japan with an overall score of 5 under par.
