The Ladies German Open for professional golfers is currently being held as the Unicredit Ladies German Open near Munich. It is one of the only golf tournaments in Germany on the Ladies European Tour. Apart from two interruptions from 1992 to 1994 and from 2002 to 2007, the tournament has been held annually since 1986, as golf tournaments in Germany are also very popular with spectators. The Ladies German Open is a real crowd-puller.
