The China Open Golf is sponsored by Volvo and is therefore also known as the Volvo China Open. The tournament is part of both the Asian Tour and the European Tour rankings. Major golf tournaments in China are extremely popular with both players and spectators. It is therefore not surprising that the top professionals on the European and US Tours repeatedly make the trip to the Golf China Open in April.
