How do you fill out a scorecard correctly according to golf etiquette?
The scorecard should always be filled out properly and, above all, legibly so that the scorekeeper can correctly recognize the numbers entered. If the numbers are illegible, the referee will decide in case of doubt to the disadvantage of the player. Therefore, after a round of golf, the player must always check again and, if necessary, have this corrected to ensure that his scorecard has been filled out correctly and legibly by his counter (so make sure your handwriting is legible when filling out the scorecard!).
Furthermore, according to golf etiquette, the scorecard must be signed by both the counter and the player. If this is not the case, there is a risk of disqualification. The overall result and the calculation of points do not have to be entered on the scorecard. The game management is responsible for this process.
