We are also happy to offer you a static golf club fitting. This is the traditional method, which does not include any data from biometric fitting. The most important factors here are the standard diameter, body height, distance from the carpal joint to the ground and the length of the longest finger. Of course, different clubs are also tested and the lie is measured on a hitting board. Price EURO 50.00 for 30-45 minutes.
Online fitting
Customized clubs, not only on the size include e.g: Shaft length in inches, lie angle, shaft flex, shaft type, grip thickness and also loft angle. A biometric fitting is not only offered for irons, but also for wood 3, wood 7, driver and all other woods and hybrids. Shaft length:
The shaft length in inches is determined by measuring the body height in combination with the arm length. The right length is crucial for good fitting clubs. A good fitting must always reflect the unit of measurement inch.
Lie angle:
The lie is located between the shaft and the sole of the club head. It describes the inclination of the club head and should be aligned so that the underside of the club head is exactly parallel to the ground when the golf ball is hit.
This has an effect on the ball flight curve. As already described, the distance between the wrist and the ground is measured statically when standing upright with the arm hanging straight.
The body height and the measured length of the distance from the ground to the wrist give the fitter a basis for the inch length of the golf club and what the lie angle should be.
Loft angle:
The loft describes the angle of inclination of the clubface. This can also be taken into account in a custom fitting. Good golfers often prefer a loft that is reduced by 2 degrees.
Shaft flex / shaft type:
A shaft (the connecting piece between the club head and the grip) can be determined by its weight, stiffness (flex), bending point (kick point) and torsion (torque).
The flex describes the resistance of a shaft to bend or deform. The stiffness of a golf club varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, there is no standard that defines how flexible a shaft must be to be assigned a certain flex. The shaft flex has an effect on the ball flight height and ball flight curve. As a rule of thumb: a player with a high swing speed needs a harder shaft.
Grip:
The grip is also very important, it is the golfer's connection to the golf club.
To determine the grip strength when fitting golf clubs, the grip is measured from the wrist to the fingertip of the middle finger. The grip thickness is measured five centimeters (approx. two inches) below the end of the grip when it is fitted. As a rule, golf club grips are made of rubber, so that different degrees of hardness and colors are available on the market.
An incorrect grip thickness has an effect on the mobility of the wrist and therefore on the swing, and a thicker grip has now become established, especially for putting, in order to reduce the mobility in the wrists to a minimum.
Weight of the golf club:
Nowadays, club shafts are generally made of steel or graphite. The flex (flexibility) selected for static fitting is usually based on the club head speed achieved by the player. This is measured during the fitting (dynamic fitting).
Material of the shafts:
Steel golf shafts have a higher weight and a direct transmission of vibrations. This highly perceptible feedback enables the player to draw conclusions about the moment of impact. However, there are also players who find the vibrations annoying, not least due to health restrictions. These players often choose lightweight graphite shafts as the material, which can be accelerated more quickly and dampen vibrations.
