What is meant by the term "starting time" in golf?
The tee time in golf is the time at which you start a round. The golf tee time is also called "Tee Time". Most golf courses are very busy at weekends and on public holidays. In order to ensure that the game runs smoothly and in accordance with proper golfing behavior, many golf clubs assign tee times in advance, which must be adhered to punctually, otherwise the right to play will be forfeited.
At many golf clubs, tee times can be booked online and tee times are not only allocated at weekends, but throughout the week. At the latest when golf tournaments are held, every golfer is confronted with a personal start time at which they must arrive punctually. If the golfer arrives within 10 minutes of his tee time , he will receive 2 penalty strokes in the counting game. If the player is more than 10 minutes late, he will be disqualified.
