Today, full-time employees in the BGV office ensure the professional operation of golf, golf in Munich, golf in Bavaria and provide advice to the Munich Golf Club and all other golf courses. A further nine honorary members make up the BGV Executive Committee. Many different committees ensure that everything runs smoothly. For example, the Sports Committee, the Competitions Committee, the Match Director Commission and the Specifications Committee. Individual representatives also help diligently in the Bavarian Golf Association e.V. and make golf in Munich more and more popular. The regional representative for regional youth supervisors, the association trainer for regional training bases, the BGV course judge, the BGV school sports representative in the DGV or the BGV teaching supervisor. As a rule, all golf courses in Bavaria are also members of the association. Due to the large number of golf clubs in Bavaria, the Bayerischer Golf Verband e.V. is therefore one of the largest German state golf associations. Hosting the BMW International Open at Golfclub München Nord Eichenried is an annual highlight in the Bavarian sporting calendar and the golf in Munich advertising campaign.
