Golf Surlyn is a plastic that is mainly used for the production of ball shells. Its durability makes it more interesting for the ball industry than natural rubber, for example. However, the sensitive surface and rapid wear have ensured that the ball surface of top players' balls is now also made of golf surlyn and no distinction is made here any more. Golf balls with a Surlyn shell are now offered by all well-known ball manufacturers. Different ball brands often come from the same factory and the same manufacturer, so that only the brand of the respective company is printed differently.
