The Golf Ranger

Geschrieben von: Christoph Knapp | |

Golf ranger comes from the English golf vocabulary and has the same meaning as the American marshal. A ranger is appointed by the respective golf club or golf course to ensure compliance with golf etiquette and the flow of play on the golf course. All players on the course, club members and green fee players must follow the ranger's instructions. If this is not the case, the ranger has the right to remove players from the course. In most cases, a golf ranger is only deployed during a competition, although many courses also employ a golf ranger outside of golf tournaments. The golf ranger then checks whether all players on the course have the appropriate playing rights, i.e. have purchased a green fee or are members of the club, or have attached the obligatory membership badge to the golf bag. In addition, a golf ranger also checks compliance with the dress code on a golf course.
