The golf heel of a golf club is the part of the club head that is closest to the shaft, i.e. directly between the end of the shaft and the hosel of the club head. The term golf heel comes from the English language, but is also used in German under this term. This technical term is not very important for recreational golfers. It is mainly used in the field of fitting and golf club construction. The golf heel is exposed to a very high load when hitting the ball and must therefore be made of high-quality materials. However, the golf heel is less decisive for the appearance, shape and playing characteristics of a golf club and is therefore regarded more as a standard product.
