A golf card is usually a plastic card issued by a golf association, which also confirms membership of the association and therefore of a golf course. Various details are printed on the golf card. The name of the owner, the name of the home club, the player's membership number, the so-called club number and the golfer's handicap at the beginning of the year. If you want to play at a foreign club, you usually have to show this card and prove that you have a certain handicap. A golf card from the German Golf Association is accepted almost everywhere and is networked in all clubs via a so-called intranet. This enables a course to view a player's current handicap and, for example, to forward tournament results without any problems.
