Probably the most famous tree in golf history can be found on the Augusta golf course in the US state of Georgia. One of the four major tournaments, the US Masters, is held on this course every year. A unique feature of this tournament is that the winner receives a green jacket from the previous year's winner at the award ceremony. The tree became so famous after legend has it that former US President Eisenhower hit it every time he played in Augusta and never managed to hit past it. This is why the Golf Eisenhower Tree was eventually named after the former US president and golf-loving politician. Even today, famous personalities and members of the golf club still struggle with the tree, which stands just behind the tee in the middle of the fairway.
