Honor
According to golf behavior, what does the word "honor" mean?
The golf honor on the first tee of a round of golf is awarded to the player with the lowest handicap. During the round of golf, the honor can then change. The golf honor always goes to the player who needed the fewest strokes on the previous hole. In the event of equal scores on a hole, the player who teed off first on this hole retains the so-called remaining honor. Theoretically, according to this rule, the ladies can also win the golfing honor before the men. However, it is customary for the men to tee off before the ladies, regardless of the score. This saves time, especially as the ladies' tee shot is usually further ahead than the men's tee shot. If ladies were to take the golf honor, all players would have to walk to the front and then back to the men's tee.
