Foursome with selective drive: Types of play in golf

vierer-mit-auswahldrive

The foursome with selective drive is a variation of the classic foursome. However, both players hit one ball on each hole. A ball is then selected, which is hit alternately, and the hole is continued and completed. If both players hit their tee shot out of bounds, only one player may be selected to hit the next tee shot, now with the 3rd shot. In a mixed competition, the man may in this case play the tee shot from the ladies' tee. The foursome with selection drive is scored according to the rules of the classic foursome as a counting competition, according to Stableford or as a hole competition. Incidentally, the foursome with selective drive is called a greensome in English!
