Course maturity test: Rules and etiquette test

platzreifepruefung

Why do you have to take a rules and etiquette test in accordance with the rules of conduct for golfers?
The rules and etiquette test is intended to ensure that the most important rules and etiquette basics are mastered and is therefore a theoretical part of the DGV course entrance exam. Safe behavior and a fast game are the most important basic requirements to be able to play a golf course as a beginner. A DGV course entrance exam usually runs as follows: You attend a rules and etiquette evening and then take the theoretical rules and etiquette exam. This involves answering 30 multiple-choice questions (15 rules, 12 etiquette and 3 general questions). The official R&A rule book is permitted as an aid. In practice, 9 holes must then be played, of which the best six are scored. Based on a handicap of -54, 12 "net scores according to Stableford" must be achieved.
