DGV course license - Golf etiquette used correctly

dgv-platzreife

According to golf etiquette, why do you need the DGV course license?
In Germany, you generally need at least a course license to play on all golf courses. This is mainly for insurance reasons, but the flow of play and safety on a golf course should also be ensured by having a DGV course license. Public golf courses also usually require a course permit, although this does not necessarily have to be a DGV course permit.

The DGV course permit, which is certified by the German Golf Association (DGV), entitles the holder to play independently on almost all German golf courses. In principle, however, the course permit always remains the "house right" of each golf course. According to golf etiquette, there is therefore no entitlement to recognition. However, a DGV course permit must be recognized by each participating golf course if a golfer wishes to become a member or eligible to play on this course. However, the course permit should not be older than 2 years.
