Under the name Open de Andalucia de Golf, the tournament has been on the list of all major golf tournaments since 2007. In previous years, the tournament was known as the Turespana Masters and the Turespana Masters Open de Andalucia. The Open de Andalucia is held on one of the many beautiful golf courses in the golf and vacation region, which is also very popular with German golfers.
