The first Austrian Ladies Golf Open was held in 1994 at the beautiful Zell am See Golf Club in Kaprun. Florence Descampe from Belgium was the first female winner at the time. Important golf tournaments around the world are also won by German professional golfers, including the Austrian Ladies Open by Martina Koch with an overall score of 6 under par. This globally important golf tournament has been held at Vienna's Föhrenwald Golf Club since 2005.
