Playing conditions - DGV golf rules

Competitions against par and according to Stableford are counting games in which a fixed score (against par or net par) is played for each hole. The rules of the counting game apply insofar as they do not conflict with the following special rules.

In handicap competitions against par and according to Stableford, the competitor with the lowest net score on a hole has the honor on the next tee.

a) Competitions against par
In the competition against par, the calculation is the same as in the hole play. A hole on which a competitor does not achieve a score is regarded as a lost hole. The winner is the competitor with the best overall score for the holes.

The counter is only responsible for recording the gross stroke count for each hole on which the competitor achieves a stroke count (or net stroke count) equal to or below par.

Note 1:
The competitor's score is adjusted by the deduction of one or more holes in accordance with the applicable rule if a penalty other than disqualification is incurred for the following:

- Rule 4 Club
- Rule 6-4 Caddie
- Any course rule or playing condition for which there is a maximum allowable penalty for the round.

It is the competitor's responsibility to report the facts of the infraction in question to the match director before submitting his scorecard so that the match director can impose the penalty. If the competitor fails to report the infringement to the match management, he is disqualified.

Note 2: If the competitor violates rule 6-7 (unreasonable delay, slow play), the match management will deduct one hole from the total hole score. For a repeated offense - see Rule 32-2a.

In the event of such infringements, the player has not only lost the hole on which he is currently playing (as this could already have happened at that moment), but one or more further holes will be deducted from his score.
