If a player wants or has to play his next shot from where a previous shot was played, he must proceed as follows:
a) On the tee: The ball to be played must be played from inside the tee. It may be played from anywhere within the tee and may be touched down.
b) In the terrain: The ball to be played must be dropped and must first hit a part of the course in the terrain when dropped.
c) In the hazard: The ball to be played must be dropped and, when dropped, must first hit a part of the course in the hazard.
d) On the green: The ball to be played must be placed on the green
