Caddie
The player may be assisted by a caddie, but may only have one caddie at any one time.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE 6-4:
Hole Play - Upon completion of the hole on which the violation was found, the score of the hole play shall be adjusted by deducting one hole for each hole on which a violation occurred, up to a maximum of two holes for the round.
Counting game - Two strokes for each hole on which an infringement occurred, up to a maximum of four strokes for the round.
Hole play or counting play - In the event of an infringement between the play of two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole.
A player who has more than one caddie and is in breach of this rule must, immediately on becoming aware of the breach, ensure that he has no more than one caddie at any one time for the remainder of the scheduled round, otherwise he is disqualified.

Stableford competitions - see Note 1 to Rule 32-1b.
Note: The match director may prohibit the use of caddies or restrict a player's choice of caddies in the conditions of play (Rule 33-1).
