a) Representation of a party, for example in bestball and four-ball hole play
One partner of a party may play all or part of the hole game alone; it is not necessary for all partners to be present. A missing partner may join in between holes, but not when playing a hole.
b) Sequence of play
The golf balls of one party may be played in a sequence of their choice.
c) Wrong ball
If a player incurs the penalty of losing a hole under Rule 15-3a for a stroke after a wrong ball, he is disqualified for the hole. His partner does not incur a penalty, even if the wrong ball belongs to him. If the wrong ball belongs to another player, its owner must place a ball in the place where the wrong ball was first played.
d) Penalties incurred by a party
A party incurs a penalty for one of the following infringements by one of the partners:
- Rule 4 Golf clubs
- Rule 6-4 Caddie
- Any course rule or playing condition for which the penalty is the correction of the score.
- of the hole play.
e) Disqualification of a party
(I) A party is disqualified if one of the partners incurs the penalty of disqualification for any of the following violations:
- Rule 1-3 Agreement on non-application of rules
- Rule 4 Racket
- Rule 5-1 or 5-2 The ball
- Rule 6-2 Default
- Rule 6-4 Caddie
- Rule 6-7 Unreasonable delay, slow play
- Rule 11-1 Placing the ball
- Rule 14-3 Artificial aids, improper equipment and improper use of equipment
- Rule 33-7 Disqualification penalty imposed by the
- disqualification penalty
(II) A party is disqualified if all partners incur the penalty of disqualification under any of the following Rules:
- Rule 6-3 Playing Time and Player Groups.
- Law 6-8 Interruption of play.
(III) In all other cases where a breach of the rules would incur the penalty of disqualification, the player is disqualified for that hole only.
f) Effect of other penalties
If a player's infraction supports the play of his partner or adversely affects the play of an opponent, the partner shall incur the applicable penalty in addition to any penalty incurred by the player. In all other cases, the penalty incurred by a player for a breach of the rules does not apply to his partner. If the penalty is a loss of hole, it has the effect of disqualifying the player for that hole.
