Are there clubs, balls or other golf items that belong to the "prohibited golf items"?
According to the Rules of Golf, there are various clubs, balls or other golf articles that are not permitted for participation in a tournament. For example, the so-called X-Out golf balls or drivers with a COR value that is too high. However, during a private round it is up to each player to decide which golf equipment they use on the round. Only driving range balls are prohibited on all golf courses worldwide. Playing driving range balls in accordance with golf etiquette can lead to course bans or even be reported as theft, as these balls are the property of the golf course and are only intended for borrowed use on the range and practice facilities.
