Attending a general meeting is of course always voluntary. Every golf club member has the right, but not the obligation, to attend a general meeting at the golf club. Board elections in a golf club are also not a compulsory event. These are usually held every 3-4 years during the general meeting. All eligible members may take part in elections and cast their vote. The more members participate in the meetings of a golf course, the better it is for the diversity of a golf club. Seniors, young people, ambitious sportsmen and recreational golfers have the opportunity to represent their interests at golf general meetings.
