A golf draw is a golf shot that starts to the right of the target, curves slightly to the left and then lands in the target. There are different variations of playing a golf draw. Ultimately, the club face is tilted slightly to the left at impact in relation to the direction of the swing, which is slightly to the right of the target. The golf draw is mainly mastered by better golfers. The advantage of a golf draw is that it rolls out a little longer than a straight shot or its counterpart, the fade. Golfers make use of this advantage, especially on long golf shots. This does not have the desired effect on shots onto the green, so you could say that a fade is more helpful here, as it flies a little higher than the golf draw and therefore comes to rest more quickly.
