Golf dimples are the small dents on the surface of every golf ball. The number, shape and arrangement of the golf dimples have a decisive influence on the ball's flight and aerodynamic properties. Without the golf dimples, for example with a completely smooth surface, a ball could not be directed at all and such distances could not be achieved. Today there are now golf balls where the entire cover consists of golf dimples. This was not the case a few years ago, when every golf ball cover also had a seam where the shell was welded together. However, new processes make it possible to provide golf ball shells with no seams and therefore with continuous golf dimples.
