How to use the score counters correctly
Most golf score counters operate on the same principle: strokes are recorded by pressing, turning, or sliding. The simplest type is the so-called chain scorer, where simple balls or beads are moved from one end of a string to the other. More sophisticated golf score counters replace this sliding action with turning or pressing. A push-button score counter is much easier to use, allowing the stroke count to be recorded without having to recount. The most modern option is the electronic device. These typically offer many additional functions and can usually count four players simultaneously. With electronic models, the stroke count can often be saved for each individual hole, so that after 18 holes, the overall score for all players can be retrieved.
