The brand

The Pit Green Micro Golfer is a product of Rutan GmbH from Darmstadt, Germany, and can be compared to a table football player. A creative inspiration on a beach sparked the idea for Pit Green. A year of development work by a German-Swiss design team was then required to finalize the product. Following its market launch, the development of accessories began. The operating principle is intriguing: a toothed pin made of fiber-reinforced polyamide drives the steel and brass mechanism inside the Micro Golfer.

Just like in real golf, there's a suitable club for every playing situation: a driver, an iron, a wedge, and a...putterThey can be assembled very quickly. The ball has the realistic properties of a golf ball, so it even comes to rest on hard surfaces. The ingenious part is that the developers have integrated grass into the golf ball. Pit Green has since received numerous awards and prizes for the development and production of the Micro Golfer. In 2004, for example, they received the special prize of the Nike Play Awards for "Innovations in Sports Gear." Furthermore, they won the DDC Award in Bronze and reached the finals of the ISPO Brand New Award in February 2007. Also in 2007, Pit Green was nominated by the Federal and State Ministries of Economic Affairs for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.
