Why do you have to shout "Fore" for safety?
Fore comes from English and can be loosely translated as caution. Flying golf balls are a major hazard on golf courses all over the world. No player will be able to control his ball with 100% certainty. Even on the professional tours, spectators are often hit by balls that deviate from the desired direction. Due to the hardness and fast speed of the balls, they can become a very dangerous or even deadly projectile.
To reduce the risk of being hit by flying golf balls, a standardized Fore warning call has been agreed worldwide. As soon as Fore is called for safety reasons, every golfer knows that danger is imminent and should take cover as quickly as possible and protect their head with their arms. As soon as you hit a ball in an unseen direction, towards other people or onto another fairway, you should shout Fore immediately and very loudly. If in doubt, do this several times in succession.
