The Qatar Masters has been part of the European Tour's tournament calendar since 1998. The golf tournament in Qatar is always held in January at the Doha Golf Club. The first Qatar Masters was won by Scotsman Andrew Coltart. Australian Adam Scott has already won the Qatar Masters twice. Since 2008, over 2.5 million US dollars in total prize money has been paid out to the players.
