The Alfred Dunhill Championship is one of the major golf tournaments in Europe and on the European Tour, even though it is played in South Africa. This means that the Alfred Dunhill Championship is also an official tournament of the South African Sunshine Tour and is one of four events in South Africa organized in cooperation with the European Tour. The Alfred Dunhill Championship has been held since 2000 and has taken place regularly since 2004 at the magnificent Leopard Creek Golf Club south of Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga.
