State associations in the German Golf Association
Due to their small size, various state associations have joined together to form a golf association. These include the federal golf states of Bremen and Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, Berlin and Brandenburg as well as Thuringia and Saxony. Incidentally, many golf clubs not located in the Hamburg city area also belong to the Hamburg Golf Association. The state golf associations are regional golf associations and exercise the following regulations on their territory. The state golf associations are all also members of the DGV golf association and organize regional leagues and championships.
