At that time, the two traditional clubs in the Berlin city area and the newly established golf clubs in Brandenburg merged to form this state golf association. Today, City Golf offers golf in Berlin at reasonable prices. The Golfverband Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. is a member of the German Golf Association and the Landessportbund Berlin. The latter supports Golf Berlin and City Golf in the capital with help and advice. In 2009, on its 20th anniversary, the GVBB had 24 members with a total of 17590 registered golfers. The development of popular sports and the promotion of youth and elite golf in the Golf Berlin region and beyond is a major concern of the GVBB.
