a) Selection and addition of clubs
The player may not enter a scheduled round with more than 14 clubs. He is limited to the selected clubs for that round, but if he has started with fewer than 14 clubs, he may add as many as he wishes, provided the total does not exceed 14.
The addition of a racket or rackets must not unreasonably delay play (Rule 6-7) and the player may not add or borrow a racket that anyone playing on the course has selected to play.
b) Partners may use clubs together
Partners may share clubs provided that the total number of clubs carried and shared by the partners does not exceed 14.

NOTWITHSTANDING THE EXCESS NUMBER OF CLUBS CARRIED
Hole play - At the end of the hole on which the infringement was discovered, the score of the hole play shall be corrected by deducting one hole for each hole on which an infringement occurred, up to a maximum of two holes per round.
Counting game - two strokes for each hole in which an infringement occurred, up to a maximum of four strokes per round.
Competitions against par - see Note 1 to Rule 32-1a
Stableford competitions - see Note 1 to Rule 32-1b.
c) Excess club neutralized
Any club carried or used in breach of Rule 4-3a (III) or Rule 4-4 must be declared neutralized by the player to his opponent in stroke play or to his counter or a competitor in stroke play immediately after the breach is discovered. The player may not use the club(s) for the remainder of the scheduled round.
