"A party incurs a penalty for any of the following violations by either partner:
- Rule 4 Golf clubs
- Rule 6-4 Caddie
- Any course rule or playing condition for which there is a maximum allowable penalty for the round."²
A party's penalties in golf are defined in advance of a round of golf by the Official Rules of Golf. If a golf team does not adhere to these rules of golf, this may result in a corresponding golfing penalty.
