A golfer and a team or flight must therefore always ensure that the official rules of golf of the DGV are applied in accordance with them, that no non-application of the rules of golf takes place and that any penalties provided for in the rules of golf are enforced accordingly. Collusive agreements on the non-application of the rules of golf are strictly prohibited and not permitted. If golfers do not adhere to the rules and deliberately violate them, this will result in disqualification. The official rules of golf are not intended to lead to punishment, but to ensure the orderly conduct of golf all over the world. This is why the rules of golf are constantly being coordinated between the two largest golf associations, the USGA and the R&A of St. Andrews Golf.
