"If a course judge is appointed by the course management, his decision is final."²
A golf course judge is therefore a final authority during a golf tournament and the decision of the course judge is final, regardless of whether it is compatible with the official rules of golf. However, it is important that the course judges have been officially appointed as course judges by the course management.
